  • SAMSON is a palatable, nutritious, tetraploid forage turnip variety that develops within 10-12 weeks after sowing.
  • Alongside its leaves, the purple roots developing above the soil surface can also be used as feed.
  • Sowing can be done immediately after potato or cereal harvest, and the crop is very easy to grow.
  • Depending on the sowing period, very high yield per decare can be obtained from both green leaf yield and root yield.
  • In dry matter, 17-21% crude protein is found in the leaves and 11-15% crude protein in the roots. The composition includes 91% water, 1.3% crude protein, 0.2% crude fat, 1.1% crude fiber, 5.8% nitrogen-free extract, 0.9% digestible protein and 9.7% starch.
